Introducing…Powerlines for Women!
I found this great resource by an accidental click because it was at the bottom of the Barefoot Executive newsletter. If you are not familiar with Powerlines for Women yet, I wouldn’t be surprised. I think it’s a killer free resource that has not been fully exposed yet.
Here is how Powerlines works:
There are a couple different options, the first being as an end user. This is how I started. I saw the bright orange graphic and clicked through to read more information. When you sign up for a free account, they will send you a daily email from Monday to Thursday with a short, inspirational quote and on Fridays you get a longer inspirational story.
Of course I registered! I get tired of hearing all the negative news whenever I turn around and find that small burst of positive energy work in amazing ways both mentally and productivity. I loved the emails, so when I saw a link to join as an affiliate I did. I then cut and pasted the code for my sidebar banner into my blog and well, honestly, I forgot about it.
Until I got a couple emails notifying me that I had new signups under my Powerlines for Women account. Like I said, I really just entered the code and forgot about it once I hit the save button. I have spent a full 10 minutes on the actual website while setting up my account so I had to go back and re-visit the program details again.
My jaw hit the floor when I realized that I missed a huge purpose of this affiliate program- Build Your Downline. Now I’m not crazy about calling it a “downline” because honestly that to me makes me think of recruiting people to sell stuff under you and that’s not what this is about.
The process is very simple and it keeps you in front of your customers every day.
The people that have signed up through the button on my sidebar, get their daily inspirational email everyday but it comes from me!
This is the kicker that I don’t know how I didn’t pay attention too. When you create your free affiliate account you are given the opportunity to customize how you want your email signature. You can have your name, your business, your web address, a call to action.. you choose and then it’s dropped into your customers email box everyday as a little reminder of you!
What if you don’t have a website or blog?
You can post your affiliate link in your forum signatures with a catchy call to action or in your email signatures. Who wouldn’t love a free daily power quote to kick start their day? If they sign up from one of your forum post, you now have access to someone new since your website will be in their email everyday. If they have an email box like mine, I always open the positive emails while procrastinating the not so fun emails.
Ok, your next question is going to be how do you make money with this? I know as a blog owner, every click off your blog should count for something. Powerlines for Women will send out two emails a month to all subscribers with a quality, personal development product offer. If someone from your list purchases, you earn a commission.
This is a “tiered” affiliate program meaning you will also earn on your signups affiliate sales. Are you now seeing the potential of earning automatic money as you grow your list by simply promoting the link?
As someone that uses the system, I can see the potential for promoting it in your newsletter or blog to your own customers because even if they don’t sign up as an affiliate you are still given the daily exposure.
